AMAZING food. Gyros are carved from a log-of-meat like they should be, and sauced with a non-dairy (tahini maybe?) sauce that is delicious. Fries are hot and plentiful. I've edited my review that originally reduced stars because of the then-weird ordering system. This has been vastly streamlined, and everything else remains awesome. I usually get a gyros sandwich, fries, and a soft drink. The fries are very well executed, albeit rather unseasoned. But they're hugely plentiful and perfectly cooked CONSISTENTLY (I'm a repeat customer), so this is a minor peccadillo. I've also had the baklava several times and it's so good. Perfect consistency, texture, sweetness, etc.

This used to be my favorite place on the planet...the quintessential hole in the wall with great food. But sadly the Lebanese couple retired and sold to a new owner. The recipes haven't changed, but the quality isn't as good and it's missing that special...something. I still stop by for a shawarma now and then anyway.

The best Hummus in Fort Collins!

Really wish this place was better. I want so badly for Fort Collins to have some good Greek fare. This is a typical college dive. You walk in and you're not sure if you entered the right door. Is it a bar, a restaurant, a juice bar, an order at the counter or a sit down order kinda place. I've been here 3 times and I still feel confused. (Chef Robert irvine, Restaurant Impossible, would have a field-day ripping this place apart) make up your mind, what business are you in? It looks like the order 'nook' was an after thought, and it's uncomfortable standing in the path of the servers going to and from the kitchen, just to read the menu. I've had the gyro platter and the tabouli and the chicken swarmi (sp?) The gyro meat was flavorful, I love the basmati rice, but how can you get that wrong? The chicken was moist and tender. The other sides were all fresh and flavorful. I do not like their pita, if that is indeed what you call it. It is dry and tough. One time they brought it out cold, which I tried, but it was too tough and brittle to use. The service is decent but don't try to use a coupon, it seems to overwhelm the staff to figure out discounts. I also have a problem with the kitchen staff, those who are touching and preparing my food, having a 6 inch bread and shaggy hair hovering above my food and no hair net in sight. If they don't want to follow health codes then don't make the kitchen area so visible.

Finally came here after hearing about it for so long. I think the hype was a bit much, but I certainly enjoyed my experience. I ordered the gyros since Yelp told me to, and it was really good. I'm not sure if I managed to squeeze in time to breathe while I was stuffing my face. It was quite messy, a sign of a good meal, so extra napkins were a must. After eating, my friends and I decided to investigate the juice bar. A few of us ordered spiked smoothies of differing flavors, though that didn't seem to really matter after we watched the bartender fill each glass halfway with pure alcohol. They're smart in limiting you to three, because even after eating and only having one smoothie I was feeling pretty good. I'm looking forward to coming back here to try more of their options!

I have been here a few times and it progressively got worse. I would go back but not with any expectations. Food: It's pretty alright. I really like the falafel sandwich and baba ganoush. Service: I have had some really great service ONCE. All the other times i've been to YumYums it has been pretty poor. One of the ladies that works at the register has a pretty huge attitude. It's hit or miss. Try it for yourself, maybe you'll get lucky.

Delicious falafel! My sis and her hubs frequent this place and I really loved it on my visit from Chicago. Would definitely go again. Best fries in town, too!

Solid Mediterranean fare. Can't give it five stars because it didn't have something unique but I would definitely recommend Yum Yum! Fresh quality ingredients with great flavor.

Great local place for Greek food - try the Gyro. Their hummus is great too and I always take my left overs home for snacking on during the week! Staff was really friendly but didn't give us napkins or plates for eating... kinda weird seeing that we're sitting at the bar and it's just going to be more for them to clean up later. They seemed to have pretty good happy hour and late night specials so I'll definitely be back to try those. Would have definitely given 5 stars if we had been given utensils and napkins - gyros can get messy!

Get the lamb gyro!!! You will fall in love. I have never found anything close. I've never ordered anything else cause you don't have to. I live on the south end of town, but make it a point to get this. We have never had a problem with service.

The Yum Yum used to be a really good Middle Eastern restaurant. That said, when I ate there several months ago it was less than mediocre. But I'm a sucker for coupons, so when I got 1 in the mail I decided to try again. WRONG! I wanted the order to go because my husband was on his way home. I tried calling for 45 minutes & the phone rang & rang until I was cut off. I never did get through- must be a sign. As for the last visit several months ago.....the service was so slow, we had to check to see when our food was coming. The pitah was cold & dry & the falafels tasted more like donuts. The Baba Ganouj was good. & the portions seemed to have gotten much smaller. I used to have enough left over for a 2nd meal, but not anymore. When I complained about the falafel they did give me a few pieces of Baklava for free (& it was good- what could be bad about honey, butter, nuts, & pastry?). Bottom line? Yum Yum ain't what it used to be - bad service & decidedly NOT yummy.

Pros- great happy hour, good food Cons- poor service, bad attitudes I have lived near this place for the past year and gone into this place probably 8- 10 times. About half of those times I left without getting anything. Ive sat at a bar with 3 other patrons and been ignored for 10 minutes, when I am acknowledged it is usually much less than friendly. I always get the impression that I am not welcome there, or that my business is a great inconvenience to the staff. If you go there within an hour of the kitchen closing, expect the bartender to explain to you that you should have come in much earlier and maybe they can get you food, but maybe not. that specific conversation has happened to me several times. The people in the kitchen always seem very nice, and their food is really good. The bar-staff is pretty lousy. I have received good service one time when I went in around 4 P.M. to meet a friend. Overall, great food, but if you can call ahead and get take-out its best so that the lousy front-of-house staff doesn't have to be overly inconvenienced by actually providing service.

We visited this restaurant for the first time on a Saturday at about 6:30 p.m.. There weren't any waitresses/waiters so we ordered at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and efficient, but it did take quite awhile for us to get our food. We ordered the sambousek appetizer, the falafel plate and the gyros plate. Everything was obviously freshly made and very tasty, but the falafel were overdone. The atmosphere was okay, but the music was annoying and so loud that it was distorted. I'm looking forward to trying more of their unique menu items in the future - they serve breakfast all day, so I'll probably try that next time.

This place is pretty solid for the most part. The Gyros are outstanding. The salad was not great. It was not what you would expect from a Mediterranean/ Middle Eastern food place. Atmosphere is good for the most part although one of the servers was kind of a b!*@# to me when i was ordering. They often have a special on Gyros from 4-6pm. I went in at 5:55 and she rung me at normal price. When i inquired about the special she told me it was over. I showed her the time on my phone and was like "oh, that's funny because i thought 5:55pm came before 6:00pm chronologically." Anyways, totally worth trying. Make your own opinion. P.S.- Watch out for hipsters.

For the price, Yum Yum is a great value. The home made pita bread is great. The item that blew me away was the Baklava. So flaky, like it should be.

I am glad to have Yum Yum in my neighborhood. It's a low key place to hang out, grab a beer and enjoy tasty food. I've had food from the happy hour and regular menu. The gyro sandwich and hummus with fries at happy hour are great treats. The kafta and gyro dinner plates are delicious and each is large enough for two people. The bartenders are friendly and service is fast.

I love Yum Yums, it is the best middle eastern food in Fort Collins. I am not a huge fan of their hummus, but I always get the gyro sandwich as well as fallafel and both are delicious! Also, the sandwiches are very affordable! Family owned, friendly, just remodeled and the restaurant/bar area look great! Best for lunch.

  • Tatiana M.

I have had much better food at cheaper prices. Ive had a variety of things off the menu and they all get basically the same review. Tasty food, but tastes like its been sitting out all all day and not cooked fresh. Between the wait and the price I would assume that the food would be a tad fresher. Since there arent a ton of middle eastern restaurants in the area I am stuck with Yum Yums when I crave the flavor. I wish they would go back and put as much care into their food as they did the bar when they remodeled.

This place is hands down the best Mediterranean food I have ever had. The gyros are delicious! The hommos is unbelievable! This is a family run business that has been going strong for 20+ years in Fort Collins. Everything is fresh and cooked to perfection. The best part is the home made pita bread. It's delicious! They recently added a "smoothie bar." These rock! A little vodka kick with fresh sorbets, fruit, and yogurt. Great addition to any dinner! If you have a sweet tooth don't forget the Baklava! It was a great finish to our dinner. Thanks Yum Yum for being awesome and a bike ride away!

The remodel makes this place mostly a bar with a tiny area for a counter and a few tables for dine-in. Take out will probably be my only option in the future unless they expand the delivery area (HINT). Still love the food and the family but the atmosphere does not match a Lebanese restaurant or any restaurant really, it's a bar in a strip mall now with a food counter.

  • Bill E.

First of all, how do you spell Hommus - with an "o" or a "u"? I cannot believe it's been at least 7 years since I've been to Yum Yum! The food is outstanding, but show up somewhat hungry.... because with the long wait time for food, you'll be REALLY hungry when you actually get it. I had the combo plate, which had a little bit of everything. Perfect for what I was looking for. The meats were all good, and the hommus is outstanding! I wish they would sell their Hommus in to-go containers. They have a full bar. Just a bit awkward that the bar and food counter are not integrated, so you have to pay each tab separately. Despite these hiccups, the star of this place is the food. If you're in a slight hurry, call ahead and get your order started. Also, this seems to be a popular take-out place. I'll definitely be back, whether to enjoy excellent food there, or enjoy it at home with a takeout option...

Very good Gyro's and Falafels. Place is a dump though. Go in get your food to go and leave. Not a place to stay. You won't be disappointed by the food though!

The food here rocks. I'm a vegetarian so I really appreciate the options: falafel, hummus, dolmas... The baklava is also really delicious and a great little treat with your meal. The prices are great. My falafel sandwich only costs me five bucks. The guy with the big ear piercings who always works at the front is really friendly. The owners (at least I assume that's who they are) always seem grumpy to me and their bad attitude is what prevented a five star rating, but I will still return, regardless.

Super yummy food! One doesn't have to travel far to find yummy middle eastern food in Fort Collins. Service is great. Prices are low and food is quality. The portions are HUGE, definitely big enough to share. I never have trouble deciding what to order. I am a fan of falafel (they have the best) and the gyro plate. However, the family that owns the restaurant is super helpful in suggesting some new flavor if your having a tough time deciding. Yum Yum is a favorite of mine!

The name says it all! Yum Yum is my favorite restaurant in Fort Collins. I travel frequently for business and pleasure, but whenever I return to the city, I come back to Yum Yum. And yet, in some ways, it's hard for me to describe WHY this is my favorite restaurant in the city. Alot of people have never heard about it, even though it has been in the same location for 20+ years. Other people hear me rave about it and they respond, somewhat confused, "Well, it's not bad, I guess...". Perhaps I think too highly of this place, but after all of these years Yum Yum remains my perennial favorite because it has been serving up consistently fresh and delicious cuisine from the beginning. I have always had great food here, every visit, every order. And so I come back again and again. The same family has owned the place since the start and they know their loyal customers well. Yum Yum is all about freshness. The lettuce and tomatoes are fresh. The chicken shawarma is grilled to order, not spooned from a steam tray. The falafel is fried when you order it, not plucked from beneath a heat lamp. The pita bread is fresh. The hummus is good and creamy, obviously homemade. The tahini sauce is to die for. This is perhaps where Yum Yum separates itself from the other Middle-Eastern places I've tried domestically and overseas. In the various establishments I've tried over many years, sauces run the range from good to questionable to some milky concoction that turns the stomach. Yum Yum's tahini sauce is the best I've had: a blend of creamy yogurt, tahini, lemon, and a bite of fresh garlic that gets your attention but doesn't overwhelm. For me personally, Yum Yum has only been exceeded by one place: a Middle-Eastern restaurant in Tunisia which served up fare even fresher and more flavorful, to the tune where each bite was memorable. Until the day I return to Tunisia, there is Yum Yum. I'm thankful for this.

They have pretty good gyros, I guess it really depends on what you order here.

Unsurprisingly, the name follows the description of the food. I bought a gyro here and it was delicious. I think the biggest competition in town might have been Renzio's at the mall, but seeing as that place has apparently closed, this is my favorite daytime gyro place in town. Particularly for fast Greek food. Cafe Athens or Taverna may trump it in sitdown Greek. And the Old Town gyro stand trumps it for the nighttime cravings, but that still takes nothing away from this delicious place.

To be fair, this was my first visit and I suppose that I'll return & try something else ESPECIALLY since I learned the hard way that there's no table service. I was the only customer at lunch and 10 minutes passed without a word spoken to me by either Mr. or Mrs. Hakim as I sat at a table & wondered what was up. Real odd. My gyro was just so-so. Dry pita. Salty. Messy. Not bad but just not good either. I certainly didn't feel welcomed or appreciated. I pride myself in supporting local mom-n-pop endeavors but sure didn't feel the love today ....

Minus 2 stars because of 2 things: chicken shawarma & the staff giving us a table number to eat in but then got it in their head that we were getting take out, which resulted in a 50 minute wait for our food and the wraps turned soggy while sitting on their counter in that time. But they did comp us with 2 free pieces of their baklava, which was kind of them. Wasn't the tasiest baklava I've had before though. Just FYI: we allowed ourselves to wait that long for our food because we assumed their numbers were sequential and they did have a sign on their cash register that implied their service was slow. So food critique: The chicken shawarma wouldn't have been good even if it were fresh out of the kitchen though. All the pieces of chicken in my wrap was overcooked and thus having the consistency of plastic. The flavors were bland and the lettuce in the wrap did not taste fresh to me (but that might be because it sat on their counter for 50 minutes). I gave up trying to chew through the plastic chicken and didn't even bother finishing my shawarma even though I was already starving when I walked in and waited nearly an hour for my food. I also have had much tastier chicken shawarmas that had a ton of herbs/spices/veggies so I will admit my standards may be high... BUT, I give it 3 stars for the ONE bite of my husbands lamb/beef gyro because it was quite delicious. It was loaded with meat, which my husband was pleased with. I would definitely go back for that.

After reading the reviews for Yum Yum, I was maybe to excited or expecting more than I should. Good middle eastern food on the edge of the midwest? Maybe should have thought better. Not that the food was so bad. The salads were just OK, hummos a little dry and pita too dry. Falafel was way to dry, dense and bread-like. What really got me riled here was the service. To be fair, they were somewhat busy, and when we got there several tables were clearly waiting for their food. We arrived, quite hungry and almost to the point of getting grumpy. We placed our order and waited. And waited. And started to notice folks who had arrived long after we did leaving with their take out. I assume they didn't call ahead. But it felt not-quite-right to have to wait to eat there, when there is no table service - if we would have asked for the food to go we could have eaten it on the picnic tables outside just the same as if we asked to eat in. We waited more than 30 minutes for a very simple meal. Moral of the story - if you are in Fort Collins and must eat middle eastern, ask for it to go!

Yum Yum's is probably the best place in Fort Collins for Middle Eastern food. If you like hummus or Middle Eastern in general I think you should give this place a try!

Ordered a take-out gyro and was a bit disappointed. The meat was good, but the pita was a bit dry. Top half of the gyro was _very_ salty, got better in the middle, then got salty again. I'll give them another try, but this was not a good gyro.

Tasty chicken shawarma. The chicken is a bit crispy, but also dry. I have a favorite place in Los Angeles, and it is better. For Fort Collins, it's good. They have a bar area with a big flatscreen, and have plans for further expansion.

Great gyros! I tried this restaurant for the first time about a week ago and was so impressed I went back a few days later. The food was very fresh and nicely spiced and the people were friendly. I did have to wait a few minutes for my sandwich, but it was definitely worth it.

This is great middle eastern food. It is family owned, and you can tell by the quality of the food. They have a nice selection and friendly service. One note: It may take 10-15 minutes to get your food.

I love this place. It's good, it's not too expensive, and I feel like I'm eating real food --- you know, I don't feel like there's processed foodstuffs in anything I've had from them. AND they just redid the bar next door, so it looks all fancy inside.

I have to completely disagree with the other reviewers about Yum Yum. Every time I "dis" what appears to be a local Fort institution, I'm afraid the local mafia is going to start digging a hole for me out in the plains somewhere. Although, with the amount of lakes nearby, their preferred method maybe the "Luca Brazie sleeps with the fishes" approach. If you see a story about a body being found in some nearby lake, you can at least brag to all your friends that you read it here first! I'll start with the positives. I gave them two stars, and not one, because they are friendly and their service was fast. I've been twice to make sure I didn't go on an off day, and they were always efficient and very friendly, so I have to give credit were its due. This is where I hearby profusely apologize to all members of the local Fort Collins foodie mafia community for any offense I might cause and ask that you not leave a bloody horse head in my bed at night as I'm told the stain never quite comes out of flannel sheets (might I suggest simply leaving it on the porch so I can wash off the foul effluent so as not to attract flies from Greeley). The quality of the food was so bad as to make it practically inedible. Eating good middle eastern, Lebanese in particular, was my "gateway foodie drug." From there it was on to Thai, Korean, etc... It is a cultural food tradition that I absolutely adore and feel a strong affinity for. If I had Yum Yum as my first experience, I would never have tried it again. The baba ganouch was passable, but the pita served with it was dry and overly thin. The shawarma and tawouk (my spellings probably differ from theirs, but I'm trying to be phonetically accurate so please bear with) were moist enough, but the flavors tasted old somehow and weren't nearly as bold and complex as I'm used to (plus they used dark meat chicken, which I'm not a fan of, but I wouldn't knock them for this as it is simply a matter of preference and not quality). The veggies that came along with them were just soggy from being way overcooked or not cooked correctly. The tomatoes tasted like they had been fried along with everything else and just tossed in with the other veggies. They should be oven roasted or grilled over an open flame and served separately. The rice was not nearly as buttery and moist as it should be, and the second time I went it was under cooked (not enough water used to cook it, which leads to slightly al dente rice that is too starchy to be palatable). The falafel was way over cooked and dry as a bone, and the fatoush salad was old and not bold, with under ripe tomatoes. The hummus tasted like your basic store bought stuff, so nothing outstanding here as well. The one saving grace: their baklava was pretty decent. Nothing over the moon, but fairly passable. Frankly, I'm not sure if there is another Mediterranean/Lebanese place here in town, but if their is, you might want to try it before coming here. If you're feeling adventurous and have never had this cuisine before and Yum Yum is your first, or only, experience with it, please be aware that it doesn't all taste like this. Most places do it better, so don't let them turn you off of it.

Yummy gyros. Nothing fancy, just street-style fare for low prices, delicious and satisfying. The service can be spotty and often takes a little longer than it should, but just be patient (or maybe call ahead). We have gone several times and found the management to be friendly when we talk to them.

While I love almost all genres of food, this is my all-time-favorite-restaurant ever! It is my pleasure to recommend this place to all who seek fresh, healthy, authentic food from the middle east. It's Lebanese food to be exact. My personal favorite is the "sheesh-touk". Their tahini sauce is simply amazing. So too, are the hummus and falafels. I could go on and on about the tastes, but I've looked everywhere for better and Yum Yum's simply can't be beat. They have now added a large dining area and bar and are updating all around which I think makes it a whole different experience than it used to be. Looking forward to taking the family to a sit down experience the next time I go.

Mmm, Yum Yum's is goooood! Our usual order at Yum Yum's is a Vegetarian Combination Plate (this is Hommoss, Tabbouleh, Baba Ghanouj, Fatouch Salad, Falafel and Rice) and a Falafel Wrap. Let me tell you this is a lot of food!! That Vegetarian Combo Plate could easily feed two people, but it doesn't for us because my hubby can put away the food! Yum Yum's hommoss (I am used to spelling it hummus but here it is hommoss) regardless it is creamy and has good bit of lemony goodness to it and oh, we love the rice ~ it has a hint of lemon too, I dig that. They have the art of cooking the falafel down to an exact science never over done or over oily. This is an order at the counter type of place with plenty of comfortable seating inside and out. Plus they package their take out orders very nicely. There is a juice bar attached but I have never tried it. Yum Yum's is definitely worth checking out!

Solid and consistent food quality, fun atmosphere. I have only been when my young kids were with me, and it's a bit of a bar scene... And the staff has always been GREAT with my kids. Fun place to take them and good food and value. We haven't made it yet for an event there - like belly dancing or live music - but hope to. With a few more visits, it feels like it could be a bit of a Cheers location - where everybody knows your name, in the best way. One complaint - the TVs. We find them distracting and, on a personal level, often inappropriate for the kiddos... Which I can understand in a bar, but when we have been there, nobody BUT my kids seemed to be interested, so maybe they don't need to be on at all? PS - The only mixed drink I have had there - and a couple of times - was great. Shared parking lot can fill up - biking and walking are great options.

The gyro was ginormous for the modest price. But the tzatziki sauce was weak and not enough of it for such a big gyro. Definitely a serviceable option if you're hungry. 3.5 stars really.

This place serves nothing but fake middle eastern food! After reading the reviews on Yelp, I stopped here for lunch. I ordered Falafel plate and Shish Kabob plate. Ugh, this place is terrible and not actually a middle eastern restaurant!! The food was really bad! Very very bad! The Falafel was tough, dry, and tasteless! The inside of it was not green at all! Shish Kabob was something to laugh at (see the picture)! How on earth they make thin and overcooked sliced chicken breasts, no cubes, no skewers and call that Chicken Shish Kabob? I'm an Arab, so I know what good middle eastern food tastes like. Call this food anything but middle eastern food!

Yum Yum's is my favorite place to eat at in Fort Collins because I love the sauce they use in their gyros. I wish I knew how to make this sauce. It's not the regular tzatziki sauce you might be used to. They have some special recipe because it tastes amazing! They are the best gyros in this town and all the others that I have tried so far and I also love the chicken shawarma . Their food actually tastes like authentic Mediterranean. Although I hope they will use the wraps for the gyros they used back in 2010 the ones that were more thin. I haven't eaten here in a while because I live across the country. I sure do wish that one day I can eat here again. I miss this place a lot and FC as well. They have a lot of cool things that they do here and fun people to hang with. The lady that runs the place is very nice. I used to get a gyro in the morning and then go to work and she was always real cool and put lots of meat and extra sauce on the gyro just the way I like it with it dripping. Oh yea they have great drinks here too by the way. This is a rare type of place. They limit you on drinking too much which I guess is a good thing because the roads can be pretty dangerous in this area when it snows. I want really good tasting food at reasonable prices that's why I used to eat here all the time.

This place was amazing during my tenure at CSU (1998-2004). It was family owned by a Lebanese family. The food was authentic and outstanding. The couple sold the business to a couple from Florida who were not Lebanese. I have only eaten there once since the change of ownership. The food is now comparable to Qdoba. I saddens me what this place has become. It won best place to eat in Fort Collins for years, but that Era is over. To the owners: put the business up for sale and let someone buy it that knows what they are doing buy it. Thumbs down.

  • David G.

I enjoy Yum Yum's. The family that owns it are very nice people. Food is solid Mediterranean fare, more genuine then the Med franchises in town. And, the attached juice bar has both alcohol-infused smoothies and stand-up comedy!

I've always loved this place so this review is both for those good experiences along with the quite bad experience I just had. I ordered a gyro to go, and I got completely cold food...not even lukewarm...cold. This was just before they closed, so I understand, but it's still unacceptable, given that it's both unpleasant and unsafe. Cold meat is a sure ticket to an F from the food inspector.

I could go on about this place for an hour if I wanted! Looooooooove it!!! If I'm in a hurry, or want something cheap, I go with the Sheesh T'ouk pita sandwich. You can order this at the "$5 Gyro" window which is really convenient. The chicken has the most flavorful delicious seasoning and I love the sauce on it. It is pretty big too and I always save half of it as a snack for later. I've recently been getting the Sheesh T'ouk dinner plate which is MASSIVE. It's a bit pricey but it lasts me 2 or 3 meals which is nice. My boyfriend always gets the chicken shwarma, which is also a favorite there. There juice bar is delicious also and way cheaper than Whole Foods or online juices. Love this place. definitely stop in.

Loveeeeee this place we come here often drinks are always spot on and food is amazing. Bartenders are rock stars they also have cool things like salsa night with an instructor. A definitely must try place if you want a stiff drink and some awesome grub!

The $5 gyro (if you go to the window - cash only) is pretty clutch. love the juice bar and the bartender is always friendly. The wait has been a bit iffy the last few times I've been there for lunch hours, but I've always left satisfied.

Gyro was good so was the hummus and falafel. The rest of the food was mediocre and the pita was not fresh.

Yum Yum used to be a nice clean place to get a yummy plate of food or sandwich we frequented there for over 20 years...the previous owners actually took pride in what they served to people...today my family and I ate there for the first since they changed ownership and had to leave hungry as the food was inedible...first of all we waited over 45 minutes to even get our food...we watched two other tables that came in after we ordered our food get served way before us.....then finally the food came after my husband went up and asked them what happened?...The chicken they served me was as dry, cold and hard as a shoe and my daughters meat was burned...the tabouli sadly tasted rancid ( Heath department time rancid! )..and when my daughter tried to return her food to let them know it was burned the server just looked at her and said "OKAAAYY!"...with a look like what am I suppose to do!...hmmm not the normal response we had in mind for making people wait 45 minutes and serve them dried out COLD burned meat and rancid salad.....eventually a nice girl that worked there apologized and said that they would recook it...( recook it haha) it tasted like it had already been recooked a thousand times!...by that time my daughter lost her appetite after she sampled my food that was just as terrible. Bottom line: I know the previous owners would have been embarrassed to serve food like this to anyone...and to top it off it didn't taste like Authentic Med food anyway...I will spare the rest of the detail and cut to the point...a restaurant that treats their customers like this and serves such unacceptable, old tasting cold food making you wait for that long with out batting an eye lash does not deserve anyones business if you ask me...finale is that we can never return to a restaurant that once we had loved...I wish them the best however they need to rethink the way they treat people and serve fresh Authentic food!

Yum Yum's Restaurant seems to be going to Plan B. What was once a small family-owned Lebanese restaurant, that was one of those hole-in-the-wall gems, is now transforming into a remodeled restaurant that is being over-taken by their bar next door, Ma's Juice Bar. I have mixed feelings about this. Yum Yum's, owned by the Hakim family, has been a local favorite since 1991. Serving homemade Middle Eastern casual cuisine, this has been the place to go for gyros and falafels. It's as authentic as we get here in Fort Collins, and one of our very few Middle Eastern choices. When we first moved here about 5 years ago, Yum Yum's was one of the first places we ate at. It didn't disappoint and quickly became a favorite place to satisfy my nostalgic gyro cravings. Over the years, the economy has taken a turn for the worse and we notice restaurants closing up shop left and right. It seems as though Yum Yum's is sticking it out, even if it means reinventing themselves a bit and relying heavily on Ma's Juice Bar - which cannot go wrong in a college town, especially being located on Campus West (spiked smoothies? What student is going to say no to that?!). The remodel, which makes it a little less of a hole-in-the-wall, has decreased the amount of dining space on the restaurant side and increased the amount of bar space on the opposite side. Brilliant in the way of resilience in a tough economy, and we still get to enjoy the delicious homemade Lebanese flavors. But the atmosphere has been drastically altered, making take-out the best choice, unless you are there to get your drink on at Ma's Juice Bar and need some filling food to keep the hangover at bay. Then, by all means, dining in is the way to go. With the diminishing dining room and the expanding bar, I can respect Yum Yum's for trying to make a tough situation work by thinking of a plan B. Flexibility and resilience is good! I just really hope that over time the bar doesn't completely take over, and the food becomes an afterthought. It really is quite good, and it would be devastating to our food community if we lost something like this. We have enough bars already, we don't have enough authentic Middle Eastern options.

Good food, horrible service. They charged my credit card a large amount at least three months after my most recent purchase and many of my friends had the same charge to their accounts. One of my friends was charged $200! They also left me a nasty voicemail threatening to charge my card because I forgot to tip the delivery driver even tho I was a very loyal customer who tipped them generously in the past.

I love this place! The food is SO delish!! It's cheap too. I can order the meat combo and have it for dinner and lunch the next day. My mouth is watering just thinking about their food.

Got the lamb chop. The chops are a bit too dry. The rice isn't as fluffy as they should be. Why is there french fries on my plate? The tabbouleh and hummus were quite good. It costs over #20 for food + tips. I'd say overprice for the quality. But it's a locally-owned business. People there were nice. stars.

Tasty food! Hummus was properly garlicky and tahini-y. I liked the lentil and rice combination and generous portions. Service was a bit of a mess. Hippie kids ought to be hustling a little bit more with the jobs they can get in this economy. Don't come to work stoned!

Preface: I don't know Jack about Mediterranean food. So this review is based purely on flavor. The Shawarma wrap with chicken was goooooddd. It wasn't overloaded with vegetables or meat, which was seasoned appropriately and distributed well throughout the wrap. The downside is that it doesn't come with any sides and is somewhat filling. Yep, total American here. I know. In conclusion, this place will be tasty and delicious... if you don't know jack about mediterranean food.

Started off with an alcoholic smoothie, it was blended so perfectly that I almost couldn't find the alcohol. My boyfriend had the Gyros plate. I think they may have the best Gyro meat in town. It's well seasoned and melts in your mouth. I had a chicken plate and asked for it to be a little spicy. It was hotter than I expected, though I am a little bit of a wuss when it comes to spicy. The rice was simple but perfect. The salad was a fresh relief from the heat of my chicken. Overall I would definitely recommend this restaurant for dinner and/or drinks.
